Well I spent the first part of my birthday garden centre vouchers from last April on a Morello cherry tree. We are hoping for cherry pie, clafoutis etc in the not too distant future!
I did quite a bit of general weeding and tidying including this bed and the one adjacent to it on the right as we look...
I shifted the sand pit bed and it sorta collapsed on me under its own weight :-( Have been trying to avoid emoticons on the blog but it was a very sad moment....
The canes you can see here are markers for the possible layout of the next tranche of raised beds. I went to 'Woody's' as advised yesterday and the wood looks fine but they won't have much in 'til Tuesday.
