I spent around 3 hours at the allotment this afternoon, and carried on preparing the new bed, digging out as many perrenial weeds as I could and levelling things up around the edges. The herbs are in buckets split and awaiting replanting. I dug quite a lot of what I first took to be concrete before I realised it was frozen earth!
