Jac: Thanks for your comment - the allotment still needs loads doing to it. I stood and looked at it for ages yesterday evening making plans! 1st on the list was sort out the bed for the sweetcorn once they have germinated and get the rest of the beans in!
I had a look at your blog and really enjoyed it - very entertaining. When I saw the pictures it reminded me of the excitement of getting started on the allotment. Will be checking to see how you are getting on!
LOL - terrible pun! Actually a sort of gardening friend gave me some Lady Di's he had grown last year and I have to say they were lovely! My mother-in-law was stopping at the time and she used them to make a tradional curry. Yum yum!

Hi HB. I've tried quite a few runner beans over the years and Lady Di are the best without a doubt. I didn't use them for a year or two and thought the beans were ok but when I went back to them I realised what I had been missing!
