Sandpit/Salsify Bed

The sandpit/salsify bed is ready for action apart from the addition of a couple of loads of well-rotted manure. The man at Singletons on the moss where I got the soil (4 bags @ £1.50 each) said it was from "Ormskirk way" as he had to get a skip in to deal with the rubbish from what he got locally.

If you're wondering about the large chunk of rock on the edge of the bed it was holding the groundcover on the path down. I just rested it there while I put some lime chippings and sand under the groundcover and cleaned off some of the soil which had fallen on top. It isn't structural!
