Bob's Pumpkin Wisdom

Bob Flowerdew recommends this course of action regarding Pumpkins:

"...I sow them directly in situ late in May, under a glass jam jar or a plastic bottle cloche, on a raised mound made of enriched material, compost, well rotted manure and so on, to get them six inches to a foot up off the soil."
