I tried the Allotment Lady's (see link on right) Banana Chocolate Cake today and it really is superb!!!
(We had it with custard.) It is a magical transformation. I started with this...melting it..
This diary is really for my own benefit as I can never remember when I've sown/dug/harvested anything and it always annoys me when Monty Don mentions that he harvested his first sweetcorn of the year 20 minutes earlier in 1976.....however, if you do visit my diary please leave a post somewhere just to let me know what you think or with any comment, hint, trick or tip you can think of!

This cake looks very delicious. I do not make a cake. My wife loves a cake, and I always buy it from a cake store. you can make a cake well!
Thanks Heymou! The cake was delicious, and very easy to make. Why don't you have a look at the recipe on the Allotment Lady's blog and give your wife a lovely surprise?
In any case, she is very lucky to have you to buy lots of delicious cakes for her:)
Hi Mike, Your blog looks great! You've beaten mum to making marmalade - well done! haha. I'm back at uni now and will be looking out for some good ideas to cook my house. One of my house mates made red onion marmalade yesterday but don't think thats typical student grub! Was great to see you over christmas. Love Hannah
