Some of the small squashes I left have grown a bit in the good weather of the last week. Apparently last Thursday while we were at the caravan was the warmest O ctober day ever in the UK with a temperature of 70F recorded somewhere or other. A very cold winter is predicted by the Daily Express, I noticed on the paper stand, under a headline along the lines of "What going on with our crazy weather?".
