The onions in the old sandpit are nearly ready now. Will it be alright to sow carrots in the bed to follow them? Or would it be too late? Advice gratefully accepted as usual! Posted by Picasa

Re: sowing late carrots: If it turns out to be too late, you've only lost a little seed and some time. Or you could sow kale or mustard greens, which grow pretty well through the winter.

Hello Mike, I've really enjoyed reading through your blog and looking at your fantastic photos. You will be okay to plant carrots after the onions although they may be smaller carrots from a late sowing.
