The tulips I grew for Sue are nearly over now but they have been beautiful. Was ita good idea though? I have tied up a bed until now and I'm unsure whether I can lift the bulbs and heel them in somewhere else until the foliage yellows. Does anyone have any advice on this? As for my first question - yes it was worth it because we have enjoyed them so much.

Hi, Mike
They are very beautiful tulips.
Your place gradually became warm, too.
Tokyo is also warm. Today's temperature is very high.
It is summery. However, this is abnormal weather.
So vegetables' growth is very fast.
The leaf of the potatoes in Tokyo terribly becomes large.
I am expecting a lot of potatoes' harvests this summer.
How are your potatoes?
HiHeymou! The foliage on my potatoes is only just showing above the soil. It is quite cold here today, but we have had some nice weather.
All the best, Mike
Hi Mike, glad to see you are contributing again. I also appreciated the beautiful tulips, in fact, still am. Nice to msee Lisa and her friend at the allotment. The purple sprouting looks superb. Good to see you and Sue yesterday..Love Mum
It is perfectly OK to lift the tulips and but them in another place until the foliage dies down.
I've done it successfully in the past.
So have I!
In fact you can buy tulip planting baskets that enable you to plant them in the beds until flowering has finished, then lift them all out easily and move them out so that you can put something else there to fill its place.

Tulips should ideally be lifted each year until planting time comes around again because mice like to eat them if they are left in the ground.
Many thanks for your advice - I'll lift them asap!
